September Launches

Hello guys welcome to Indian auto updates, we hope you and your family doing well and taking necessary precautions against covid-19. So today we are going to discuss the vehicle that are going to launch in the month of September 2020.

 The September 2020 will be dominated by SUVs. We have a list of five vehicles launching this month out of which four are SUVs and remaining one is the sedan. And here we have included short description of the vehicle that supposed to launch in September.


 Audi Q2


The body is going to launch its subcompact luxury SUV Q2 this month. The SUV was first shown in 2016 Geneva motor show. Although not much information is unveiled from official sources but we can expect 1.3 litre petrol engine with automatic transmission. The vehicle is expected to launch in early September and it will cost around 30 to 35 lakhs. The Q2 from Audi will compete with Benz GLA, Volvo XC40 and BMW X1.

 

Mahindra eKUV100


The Mahindra auto group is launching its electric micro SUV eKUV100 in the middle of September 2020. The micro SUV from Mahindra is going to be India's most affordable electric vehicle. This micro SUV will offer 120 NM of torque and 40 kW of power. The battery capacity of eKUV is 15.9kWh and it will offer a range of 147 kilometers in single charge. Another interesting thing about this SUV is its charging capacity, as per Mahindra claim it can charge up to 80% within one hour. The vehicle is expected to launch on 16th of September, and its expected price is about 8.5 lakhs onwards. In terms of competition there is no direct rivals to eKUV.

 

Kia Sonet 


The South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer is all set to launch its second offering in Indian market. After receiving overwhelming positive response from Indian market to its Seltos, Kia is ready to launch its second product. The Kia sonet is subcompact SUV which offers you aggressive styling, power and technology. The pre-booking of Sonnet has already begun, and it's comes in several engine options i.e. 1.0 liter turbo petrol, 1.2 liters petrol and 1.3 liters diesel. The cost of Kia sonet will starts from 6.5 lakhs to 13 lakhs and is expected to launch on 16th of September. The Kia sonet will compete with Hyundai venue, Vitara Brezza, XUV 300, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.


 New Skoda Rapid


The Skoda is launching its new Rapid this month and it's going to be the only Sedan launching in September. The new Skoda will come with 1.0 liter turbocharge stratified injected engines with both automatic and manual transmission depending upon different variants. The Skoda will offer New Rapid in Monte Carlo edition as well. The expected price of upcoming Rapid is in between 7.5 lakhs to 11.9 lakhs and is expected to launch on 18th of September. The new Rapid will compete with Maruti Ciaz, Volkswagen vento, Hyundai Verna and Honda City.

 

Toyota Urban Cruiser


The Toyota is also entering into subcompact SUV market with its Urban Cruiser. It is going to be the second offering from Toyota-Maruti joint venture. The urban cruiser is based on Maruti Vitara Brezza and powered by Marutis 1.5 litre petrol engine along with mild hybrid technology. The expected price of the Urban Cruiser will be from 8.2 2 lakhs to 11.2 lakhs approximately and it will launch on 24th of September. The direct rivals of Urban Cruiser are Hyundai venue, Tata Nexon, Vitara Brezza and XUV 300.

So that's all for this month, we have very few launches in September. But the next month is going to be exciting for Indian automobile market.
